Emma Casanova

Living the dream, Emma has lived in France for most of her lfe. Moving to Annecy from Paris some years ago for work commitments, she eventually learned to fly in 2007.

A born mountain pilot she likes the strong conditions and punchy thermals that you find in the alps, and still finds the flatlands very "bewildering"!. Competition is in her blood and with aspirations to become the top international female pilot right from day 1, her decision to start competing in 2010 came as no surprise, particularly when she came runner up in the British Nationals first time round. Now twice British Champion and winner of the Nordic championship, whe has also been on the podiums in several other events this year, and is starting to make some noise!

When not flying, Emma is either riding her horse or enjoying any other summer of winter sports she can get her hands on. Her patience at waiting for the right time to move to a high performance comp wing has paid off and couldn't have come at a better time, and backed by a strong line of multi-talented pilots, Emma will be flying around the globe for the Niviuk Team on her Icepeak6.

Her motto: Luck is when opportunity meets preparation - Be ready!
Richard Butterworth

Richard Butterworth; new to the team in 2012, is no stranger to the UK competition scene. In fact, Richard enjoys being on the podium, and has stacked up wins for the last 2 years in the British Paragliding Cup, come 3rd in the sports class at the British Championshps (2010) and was a member of the winning team at the British Open at St Andre and Kobarid (2010).

Richard never lets the side down, keeping himself busy at home with a wife and 4 kids. He is also busy at work, running his own foam factory near Manchester and to make sure he doesn't sit down at all, Richard will be busy having some amazing flights on his, recently aquired, Icepeak 6 (23) this year and we wish him all the best at the British Championships.

Richard's "fertile seed" always seems to grow.. lets see, what heights he can grow to with his new racing machine, the Niviuk Icepeak 6.
Phil Wallbank

Phil doesn't do many competitions but he turned up to this year's British Paragliding Cup and won it! So we are trying to get Phil to fly more comps, but he says his first paragliding love is XC. Phil was mad keen on flying XC from the start, he passed his CP at the turn of the century and flew his first XC six weeks later . he is just as mad keen to fly XC today. Phil regularly finishes in the top ten of the UK XC League and he has won the Sports class in recent years.

Phil now has thirteen UK 100km flights to his credit, and most have been flown on his Peak 2(26) Crow; Phil says "what a wing! It took me ten years to fly my first three tons, then flying the Peak 2 I've flown ten tons in just eighteen months".
